보드게임의 하나인 스크래블은 알파벳이 새겨진 타일을 가지고 보드 위에 가로나 세로로 단어를 만들어 내면 점수를 얻는 식으로 진행되는데, 그 게임이 시작되게 된 배경을 알아봅니다.

Players must spell words using small wooden squares with letters on them.

게임하는 사람들은 그위에 낱글자가 있는 나무로 된 작은 사각형들을 사용해서 단어들을 철자화해야 한다.

 

They put these squares on a board full of empty boxes.

Surprisingly, this fun game was invented during the Great Depression.
